Adjust Your Color, The Truth of Petey Greene

TV

This documentary portrays America’s first shock-jock, a black-man in a white man’s world during a time of civil unrest in our nation’s capital. Petey Greene battled the system and his own demons to give voice to the disenfranchised "man on the street." Armed with nothing more than brutal honesty and a razor-sharp tongue. Petey used the forum of his raw, uncensored TV and radio shows to shock, amuse and enlightened everyone from the ghetto to the White house. Narrated by Don Cheadle (who starred as Petey in the feature Talk to Me) Adjust Your Color showcases recently found footage not previously seen in over 25 years.

Aired on PBS February 3rd, 2009.
